1. Introduction
FastCheck ("we", "our", or "us") is a real-time narrative fact-checking tool for memecoin traders. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the FastCheck website and Chrome extension.
By using FastCheck, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the service:
- Google account identifier and email address — received when you sign in with Google, and used to identify your account. We receive only your account ID and email; we never see your Google password.
- Auth token — a unique identifier for your account, stored locally in your browser and sent with each request to authenticate it. It contains no personal information and you can replace it at any time from your dashboard.
- Session cookie — a random identifier that keeps you signed in on the website. It carries no personal information and is deleted when you sign out.
- Post content — the text of the post you choose to fact-check, together with its identifier. Sent to our API only when you click the FastCheck button, and only for that post.
- Usage counts — how many checks you have used in your current period, used solely to enforce plan limits.
- Payment records — for a purchase we store the amount, the price quoted, and the transaction identifier on the chain you paid on, so the payment can be matched to your account and shown to you later.
- Wallet addresses — when you pay from a crypto wallet, send $FASTCHECK to convert into credits, or withdraw a balance, we store the address involved and link it to your account. The address you pay from is how a payment is matched to your invoice, and how we stop one funding wallet from collecting a referral bonus on both sides of a referral. The address you send from is how an incoming transfer is recognised as yours. The address a withdrawal went to is the record of where it was sent. We do not keep a payout address on your account between withdrawals: it is asked for each time and used only for that transfer.
- $FASTCHECK balances — what you have earned from airdrops and referrals, what has been paid out, and what you have converted into credits.
- IP address — used transiently for rate limiting. Not stored alongside your account or your checks.
Payments can be made in SOL on Solana or in ETH on Robinhood Chain, and $FASTCHECK is an ERC-20 token on Robinhood Chain. These are public blockchains, public by design: a transaction, including the wallet address it came from and the one it went to, is visible to anyone. We never handle card details or bank information.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your browsing history
- We do not collect your IP address beyond what is required for rate limiting
- We do not collect your name, date of birth, or any identity document
- We do not keep a payout wallet address on your account between withdrawals — it is asked for each time and not stored afterwards
- We do not ask you to connect a wallet, sign a message, or grant any approval. Nothing on this site can move funds from your wallet.
- We do not have access to your Google password or any Google data beyond your account ID and email address
- We do not read or transmit posts you have not explicitly clicked FastCheck on
- We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
- We do not collect data from pages you visit outside of the supported platforms (X.com, Axiom, Padre, GMGN)
4. How We Use Your Information
- Authentication — your auth token is used to identify your account and enforce plan limits
- Fact-checking — tweet text is sent to an AI model with web and X search enabled to generate verdicts
- Caching — verdicts are stored in our database and cache to serve repeat checks instantly without additional AI calls
- Billing — matching an incoming payment to the invoice you created, and applying the credits you bought
- Payouts and conversions — sending $FASTCHECK to an address you give us when you withdraw a referral balance or claim an airdrop, and recognising $FASTCHECK you send us to convert into credits
- Abuse prevention — rate limiting and quota enforcement to ensure fair usage across all users
5. Third-Party Services
FastCheck uses the following third-party services to operate:
- xAI (Grok) — AI model and search provider. Post text is sent to xAI's API for fact-checking. Subject to xAI's Privacy Policy.
- Google — sign-in provider. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- CoinGecko — public price data, used to convert a USD price into a crypto amount at checkout. No personal information is sent.
- Blockchain RPC and indexing providers — used to read public blockchains and confirm that a payment or transfer has settled. To do that we ask them about specific wallet addresses and transactions, which are already public on those chains. No account information is sent.
- Supabase — database provider for storing user accounts and verdict history. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Upstash — Redis cache provider for quota tracking and verdict caching. Subject to Upstash's Privacy Policy.
- Railway — cloud hosting provider for our API. Subject to Railway's Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention
- Verdicts — stored permanently in our database as part of our fact-check history dataset
- Cached verdicts — held in our cache for 30 minutes, extended to one hour each time the same post is checked again, then automatically deleted
- User accounts — retained as long as your account is active
- Credit counts — reset at the start of each billing period. Free trial credits are counted for the life of the account and do not reset.
- Payment records — kept for accounting purposes
- Payout and conversion records — kept for accounting purposes, including the wallet address each transfer was sent to or received from
- Sessions — expire after 30 days, or immediately when you sign out
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS
- Auth tokens are randomly generated UUIDs with no personal information encoded
- Database access is restricted to our backend services only
- No sensitive credentials are stored in the open-source extension code
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Opt out — disconnect the extension at any time from its popup, or remove it from your browser. Either stops all further collection immediately.
- Choose what is checked — nothing is sent to our API unless you click the FastCheck button on a specific post.
- Replace your token — rotate it from your dashboard at any time, which immediately invalidates the previous one.
- Request deletion — contact us and we will delete your account and the personal information attached to it. Verdicts already generated are retained without any link to your account.
9. Children's Privacy
FastCheck is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FastCheck after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
